So he’s probably got 40 plus years as an MD under his belt and so far outlived you by 20 plus years. I’d personally take his advice if it was me. Some of the stuff he’s probably forced into mentioning so shoot from the hip and ask him his advice off the record or for his personal opinion. Some will give it and some won’t 🤷‍♂️

I have a pase maker, just hate to move and to deal with all that goes along with finding a good place to go....I know people who go to doctors or systems that keep moving them to other areas or doctors/hospitals to get an opponent and it can take awhile

Get your colonoscopy.

I waited until I was 67 and on Medicare.

It took three tries and two doctors and the first one removed 17 small polyps and the last one two large ones.

Which I’m relived to know were not cancerous, but merely precancerous.

I get another one in six months.

I’m getting to be really good at chugging Colyte.:)

I also got a lung cancer screen, and so far I’ve paid for a case and and don’t have it yet.:)

All of us geezers eventually lay down and die.

But with proper maintenance we might run a long, long time.

I sold pharmaceuticals for a number of years and one of my favorite physicians was in his 70s when I first called upon him. His nurse parked me in his office until he had a few minutes between patients to speak with me. When he entered the room the first thing that he did was flop down in his desk chair, put his feet up on his desk, and light a cigarette. He let out an audible "ahhh" as the smoke escaped his lips. Then he smiled, introduced himself, and proceeded to ask about me, my employer, and the drugs in my portfolio.

This man was absolutely in love with medicine and looked forward to working (and learning) each day. In fact, he practiced until the day he passed some 10-years later. That's the kind of physician I want for myself! :)

I regard doctors and consultants as advisors. Sometimes, I'll take their advice, sometimes I won't. Works for me; I'm still here, against all odds and actuarial estimates.

I ought to add, yesterday an ex-colleague posted to a group that he and his fellows were shocked when, while in the office, his departmental head had collapsed, dead before he hit the deck. A very fit cyclist in his 50s, just like that, gone. You can't legislate for it.
