Been covered lots im sure, but for the heck of discussion...
I pretty well only smoke 'english' blends with Latakia other than Half & Half, and i usually smoke H&H in a couple different pipes than my main ones i smoke the latakia with, mostly because Latakia seems to leave a strong scent in the pipe, i don't mind smoking other tobaccos in it, but sometimes I can tell its a Latakia pipe haha.

Anyone switch it up? I suppose reaming it out would help a lot.

On most of my pipes, I will switch up blends, but many are blend type specific. And, I will never smoke an aromatic in a Virginia pipe. But, I do have a few that were specifically bought for latakia, because I have a bowl dynamic preference for more shallow pipes over .9" wide. And, my Virginia pipes were all bought because they were tall and narrow chambered.

Nope. I more or less mix things up. But lately I noticed retrohale is taking distinct shape. I'm noticing difference from retrohale. Hope I don't get sensitive to different genre of blends.

Most of my pipes I will smoke any type of tobacco in, but I have recently started having a few dedicated pipes, a cob for deertongue blends, an English and Latakia blend only cob and briar, a little Canadian that's mostly Virginia, Oriental, VaBur and natural blends, definitely no aros.

The pipe I'm currently smoking is for Lakelands, dark fired, and Gawith stuff, it has a pretty strong Dark Scented Flake ghost. I'm smoking the very last of my 5 year old crispy and crystally 1792, which wasn't enough to make a full bowl so is mixed 50/50 with D&R Windsail. Combined with the pungent ghost, it's actually kind of awesome.

I haven't yet dedicated any pipes to specific blends, but I'll smoke anything in my cobs, 1 briar that's aromatics only, several briars that are any non-aromatics, several briars that are Virginia-forward blends only, and 1 briar that is straight Viriginias only. I don't smoke Latakia, notorious for ghosting, so I can get away with having pipes that are just "non-aromatic." No Lakelands for me either, but if I did I would absolutely dedicate some pipes to those blends only.

I do 'dedicate' pipes to genres, not to blends (don't have tons of pipes to be doing the latter). I'd still smoke some other tobacco in a pipe 'dedicated' so something different at times, though. No cake: no ghosting, so I don't worry about that.

Latakia is the worst ghoster and I don't smoke it anymore, so that's not a worry.
Most of my preferred blends don't ghost so I smoke them in most of my pipes without worry. An occasional aromatic can squeeze in without ruining anything.
One of my pipes sort of dedicated itself to Royal Yacht. I don't know how it happened, other than I seem to like it the best in that pipe.
Another pipe more or less dedicated itself to 1792 Flake and Lakeland Dark.
Sometimes it just happens.

Like jhe033, I have one pipe dedicated to Mac Baren Scottish Mixture. That's the only blend that I prefer having a dedicated pipe for. I mostly smoke Virginia's and a select few aromatics (Mac Baren Vanilla Cream, Davidoff Red, Autumn Evening). I just use whatever pipe I feel like so I'll smoke Virginia's and Aromatics in the same pipe. I've never noticed any ghosting when I switch from aro to va. Even if I did, I wouldn't mind. A hint of vanilla in the background of a va would be welcomed.

I have a few pipes I tend to smoke specific blends in, only due to those pipes serving those blends well consistently, but most of my active rotation consists of variations on the same pipes shape, and I deliberately smoke anything in any of them. It makes life easier, and I kind of enjoy ghosts. To each his/her own, though ...
