Do you guys and gals experience more of a blast of flavor when... ?

I was wondering if I was the only one who experiences more of a capability of picking apart a blend, taste-wise, when the stem is aimed at the roof of your mouths... more than your tongues?
I have more fun and indulge in more pleasure... when I target the roof of my mouth with the stem before each draw.

It's not something I have tried - but I am hoping to get a Peterson System pipe for Christmas. The "p-lip" mouth piece is angled so it directs smoke to the top of your mouth. I guess that doing that allows the smoke to cool a little more than usual helping the taste.

I believe that's what the P-lip bit is designed to do. Personally, I've always had more flavor when I put the tip of my tongue at the end of the fishtail bit.

Haven't really tried, but I'm guessing that could be one reason why Peterson created their P-lips.

I always prefer my Peterson P-Lips, they are always something of a love it or hate it, they were designed to eliminate tounge bite but they are also great for flavour enhancement, they are also good for wet smokers as the hole on top of the stem stays away from the wet tounge.
