Title edited for caps. Please read rule 9!- jpm

Hi all. I have a question for y’all. I had a pipe of Chenet’s Cake yesterday morning. First time trying it. I thoroughly enjoys that blend. I decided to read up about it this morning and found that it is a bit of a perique monster from all the reviews on tobacco reviews. I had no idea and it got me to thinking, “Did I overdo it in the vitamin N department?”

Now, I woke up yesterday feeling a bit like garbage, anyway. CPAP user and some nights just are not the best. However, can vitamin N be sneaky and not make you nauseated, but just zonk you out for half the day?

Also, I believe I am a perique lover. Any other recommendations are welcome.

God dag or ha en riktig god jul!

Perhaps. I've overdone it with the Vitamin N a few times and it isn't pleasant. But the effects don't usually last past a few hours.
I will have to test this from a scientific perspective to see if I get the same experience without the garbage sleep. I was pretty foggy/tin-headded for most of the day, though. Any nic-sick I have experienced was rather apparent and put me down with nausea. I did not have that.

Try a small piece of chocolate or even a packet of sugar, old cigar trick to counter the nicotine effects (get your blood sugar up) works miracles after a day of herfing and you’re on cigar 7.

Nicotine doesn't actually lower blood sugar, that trick works because sugar itself is an anti-nauseant. Nicotine actually raises blood sugar, to the point where diabetics who smoke sometimes need increased insulin dosages to counter its effects.

I appreciate the replies, gents. Good information. I normally smoke after eating, but the mornings are where I simply have coffee and a pipe without anything in the belly. Rolling the dice, I know.

I always have a sweet drink when I smoke, regardless of the nicotine strength. That helps keep the buzz away. With that said, there is only one blend that will give me a powerful nicotine buzz regardless if I'm drinking something sweet or if I've eaten beforehand and that blend is C&D's Big & Burley.

Heh. Me too. That one rocks my skull, for some reason.

So far, I feel that I have been lucky. However, I tend to check in with myself as I am smoking. Every now and again I will stand up and see if the world spins. Having my water bottle with me helps, too.

If you think you're a Perique lover here's something you might like to try. I haven't made any in a while but I used to mix Perique and Latakia 50/50. Lightly press it and let it set a couple of days. It's better than you probably think, but a little goes a long way. Have fun! puffy

Listen, I am certainly adventurous in many areas of my life. However...I am not certain I want to jump in front of that train just yet. Also, I am still trying to wrap my head around Latakia.

I got a few inches of GH rope a few months ago, mostly because I Could. I rubbed out a quarter inch coin, loaded an old brit group 2 bowled pipe and waited for the spins, puffing slowly. Huh. Not bad at all. I must finally be growing up. Next day, Pegasus in same pipe. Wauuugh. Not fair at all.

Funny how that happens. I was fine with Chenet’s cake, but tonight (full stomach), a navy flake almost did me in.
