DHL Appreciation Thread

In all my years of buying goods from all over the globe, I've never had issue with DHL.
I've had parcels from South Africa, Italy, Singapore, and Indonesia delivered in 3 days or less - usually less.

Great comparative example - I ordered a pipe from LePipe.it just last Friday morning. It's now out for delivery (expected before Noon no less!)

I ordered another pipe last Monday from the same vendor and (mistakenly) had it sent via Italian post/USPS. As of this morning the tracking is showing that it has departed Italy but not yet arrived at customs in NYC. As most of us know, once it arrives in customs it could pass in a day or two, OR it could take a week or two weeks or a month. It's a crap shoot.
For that reason I feel the $10-$13 additional price for DHL is so totally worth it. Really it's not even close.

All of my knives (from Japan) have come DHL. Very fast and no issues

With all the mayhem going on in shipping these days (FedEx service circling the drain, Yellow going bankrupt and shutting down) it is refreshing to see a common carrier exceeding expectations.

DHL has been reliable in all of my experiences. Italy, Greece, South Africa, etc. It's my go-to for overseas shipping

Italian Post sucks. I know of at least one Italian pipe shop/online seller that will not use Italian Post anymore because of lengthy delivery times, lost packages and broken merch. I purchased an Ardor pipe that was returned to them after 3 weeks in transit- broken beyond repair. The seller refunded my money immediately and went out of their way to have Damiano make a similar pipe for me which they sent via DHL.

Yeah I've read some horror stories.
This Regina Scarlatta that's coming was a layaway type deal so when it came to shipping it slipped my mind.
Once I remembered I should go the DHL route it was already too late.

When i could afford Cuban cigars i would always opt for DHL if available, it’s was between 25-35 depending on vendor but more times than noti would literally get boxes from German and Sweden the next day. Always loved that.

As of an hour ago it has "departed Cincinnati" but no estimated arrival date.
Could it arrive tomorrow?!!
