So...I tried to search the forum for info, but searching for "cake" and "width" is pointless.
I know that between a dime and a nickel is pretty standard cake width. The problem for me is that many times it's hard to tell where the bowl ends and the cake starts.
My question is, does anyone have a good method for determining how thick your cake actually is?
