Hi all, I have a newly acquired Deluxe System pipe from 1979. Unfortunately, it came without the condenser piece. There are threads in the stem for one. View attachment 423165

I don’t have an opinion on whether these improve the smoking experience or not, but would like the pipe to be “complete”. I’ve browsed a few other posts here about it and saw suggestions to email Peterson about getting a replacement. The rep that replied to me said that it would unfortunately not be possible, since the condenser dimensions have changed multiple times over the years. I can only speculate that they don’t have any on hand.

I’d like to assess any other options at my disposal for getting a replacement condenser in this pipe. The current run of Deluxe System Pipes have much smaller condensers, which do not fit.

TIA
I'm in the exact same boat for at least one of my beautiful estate Petes; an 11s.

Member Rustypyles makes them
I've messaged him quite a while back (10-25-25) about some assistance on a pipe, he's done great work for me before, but there's been no reply. He doesn't seem to be active here right now. I've got his mailing address but nothing else. May need to use that to get a communication to him.......

I did read them yesterday and used the measurements to verify mine. As far as needing different lengths, that would be the neat part about being able to 3D print them. I could easily vary the length in the settings for the 3D CAD model I made of it so I can send to the printer, and just adjust the dimensions in the CAD file. I will keep playing with it.
This is before I got the correct thread pitch. I have since updated it to add the threads (M7x1) which can also easily be edited or removed if the particular stem is not threaded.

I’m just making an assumption but they probably haven’t thought eccentrics like myself would pay 30x the price and shipping to get a replacement condenser lol
I wish you were correct but in my experience most collectors like us are that crazy lol.. Imo I just think they underestimate the market.
And I'm sure if they have the original documentation and existing infrastructure they could put them out cheaper than anyone looking to reverse engineer

Did you have any success creating one of these? I'm needing one for a 1979 Peterson's Deluxe 20s.
