I've read a plethora of reviews on this blend, and can't say I really agree with any of them. The tin description is of a medium aromatic blend, with Latakia; almost indicating a crossover. I found it to be nothing of the sort, and nothing like Royal Yacht as some suggest. The Virginia's dominate the tin aroma, but the Perique and Latakia come through rather nicely in the pipe. I think it to be about as English as English gets, depending on what the definition of English blend is today. There may have been a change in blend as mine is marked "made in Denmark", by Orlik I assume as apposed to Holland as some sites mention.
I will definitely gather some of this into the barn.

Roth,
At P&C it is $9.51 a tin, which I didn't think was too pricey for a premium tin? How were the flake medallions?

I did a review on this one last night.

I don't find anything aromatic about this tobacco. It doesn't appear to have any casing, etc. tastes like a pure english to me, but the virginias do shine in it.
