David Barnes was a pipe shop in Kansas City Mo. Your pipe was a private label for his shop. I have three of these in a blond finish called Chablis, good little smokers I picked up in late '70's. Actually went to pick up one of the burgundys some time later but he had gone out of business.Only thing I know is they were made in france but never been able to find out who the manufacturer was. Hope that helps.
