Dark Fired Kentucky

I need some schoolin’ on DFK. I’m primarily a VaPer smoker and I absolutely hate Latakia. With Latakia it’s the very distinct smell and taste and not the strength. Is DFK completely different or am I likely to find it similar? Any recommendations on a blend that might be a good first try? Thanks.

It's not exactly similar, but it is smokey-ish, but with a sweeter side as well. Like latakia, it really depends on what it is blended with as to what exact flavor it creates with. I've found much less people who are as opposed to it as latakia.

Dark Fire always has to my taste reminds me of bbq. It's smoky but a different smoky. I like both but with latakia I prefer a hint and with dark fire I prefer more of an over the top thing.

I have a tin of Old Dark Fired maybe I should try it for the smokiness. My wife hates the smell of Latakia. So I might get away with it.

It's dark in color, they process it with fire, and it comes from Kentucky.

I prefer DFK to latakia. However, beware the nicotine. It’s rather strong, and I’m not all that sensitive to nicotine.
