Dark Birdseye

I am really liking this Dark Birdseys, but I find it burns away quite fast. Fill a huge bowl and it is gone in 15-20 minutes. Anyone else have this problem??

I noticed the same thing about Dark Birdseye. I thought it was the shag cut but other shag cuts don't get consumed as fast. Glad you are digging the Dark Birdseye. That stuff is just pure strong tobacco goodness. Nothing sweet about it. In fact, it's almost kind of salty and smokey like chewing on a fresh piece of rawhide.

I have found most shag cut tobacco seems to burn kinda fast myself. I know a bowl of 5 Brothers doesn't last as long as I'd like it to.

Ya mate, true, I also am liking the 5 Bro's alot. Between the Birdseye and the Bro's, I will not have to pay through the nose for my beloved Drum. 2oz of Bird is less than half price for the Drum and the Bro's is just dirt cheap. Win, Win situation. And to top it off, they both make excellent baccys for layering.

Birds eye does burn pretty fast. I smoked t ladt week for the first time, gone too quick

Ya, I think I am going to have to buy it by the 8oz bag from now on. I hydrated the 5 Bro's and that helped it alot.

Yeah, 5 Brothers is pretty neutral, so I could see adding it to a lot of different stuff to give it an extra kick.

I just got some Dark Birdseye in and have to agree it does burn a bit on the quick side. I like it a lot, like ohin3 said, "pure strong tobacco goodness". ::

Yup, I have been layering Dark birdseye, 5 Bro's and Froggy, Makes a nice smoke and the Froggy helps to slow the burn a bit.
