Has anyone heard of or know anything about a pipe brand named Dansk National?

I acquired this very nice Danish freehand sandblast on eBay last year that is stamped HANDMADE IN DENMARK | DANSK NATIONAL and aside from a few references to this pipe's listing on eBay there is absolutely nothing on the internet about this brand.

The seller believed that it was made sometime in the 70’s or 80’s by Karl Erik, presumably because of the IIS stamping at the bottom right of the photo. If so, it seems an unusual Karl Erik in that it’s a large pipe with a length of 7” and a bowl height of nearly 3”. This is large even for a Karl Erik Ekstravagant. The sandblast is also a bit odd for a Karl Erik. I understand Stanwell did most of the sandblasting of his pipes for him. This is a deep and well-defined blast that doesn’t look like the kind of blasts that Stanwell turned out.

Whoever made it, it’s a beautiful pipe and a fantastic smoker that’s surprisingly light and well-balanced for its size. I’m a fan of Karl Erik’s pipes, especially his Ekstravagants and I’d like to think he made this awesome piece. I only wish I knew for sure.

This burner is beautiful in and of itself, Rock, and I'm glad it smokes well.
That Karl Erik Ottendahl might've been involved is just icing on the cake.
Best of luck establishing a provenance.
