Danish Pipe Shop: Pipe Descriptions

One of the most important things for me in buying a new pipe online (as opposed to at a show) is an accurate description of the height of the button for easy clenching. I get tired of buying a new pipe with a 6mm button, only to have to take it to my workshop and make the bit more comfortable. I like a button just under 4mm and when I commission a pipe, I request that size. Most sellers neglect to list this info, but the Danish Pipe Shop does.

Here are the measurements that DPS has listed for an Eltang I am looking at right now:

A:	Bowl diameter:	25 mm
B:	Chamber diameter:	17 mm
C:	Chamber depth:	44 mm
D:	Height:	48 mm
E:	Length:	142 mm
F:	Button width:	13,7 mm
G:	Bit thickness:	3,8 mm
	Weight:	15 gr

There are many, many good pipe websites on line. I just like the detailed measurements provided by the DPS. I spend most of my pipe dollars on SmokingPipes.com.

There are but those detailed measurements would definitely give me reason to choose DPS over another
