I just popped open my 4th D&R, Ryback.
In addition, I've had Cockstrong, Picayune and Ramback Balkan.
I'm finding them all to be agreeable, once you learn the proper cadence for the much drier and less cased leaf.
I've jarred up some of each, simply because I don't want one pound bags just hanging out. But, I honestly don't expect much aging or transition to occur, based on the lack of moisture. An uneducated guess on the matter.
Has anyone aged any D&R for any amount of time?
How long?
What was the outcome?
Thanks.

Yes, I have dozens of pounds jarred up, some with up to three years on it. I just empty the bag into a colander and then set it over a boiling pot of water to steam for a bit. Don't let it get wet though. Just moist enough to make it stick when pinched. Then jar it up. I like to wear vinyl gloves to try to keep as many contaminates out as possible.

You're not inclined to pop a 3 year jar and tell us about it for science?
Have you noted any visual changed over that period of time?

Can't speak to D&R, but Tabac-Manil Semois ships in foil packages very dry, and it keeps fine for a year or two or more. I jar it in its package. Five Brothers is packed bone dry, and it is extremely durable. You don't want tobacco powder, but dry leaf often smokes fine.

I had a tin of D&R's Two Timer Gold with a few years of age on it. It was wonderful, and I blew through it in a few days. I bought more, but in bulk -- and much drier. Moistened with a mist of distilled water, it was "good", even without aging; but no match for the aged tin. (I was also disappointed by the amount of useless tobacco dust at the bottom of the bag).

I hear you can get five uses out of each glove. The fit's a little tight for me though.

My Blenders Bench Red VA showed up with flavor crystals already growing out of some of the pieces, and it has always been on the dry side. :puffy:

I suggest you weigh that 'dust' to see what % it was of the originally dry, therefore, more voluminous overall tobacco.

Considering the quality / price / value of these blends, some 'dust' is negligible in my view.
By the way, I keep my original bags of D&R in a cooler. Funny thing about aging tobaccos; my palette ages too!

Start with smoking anything you like and don't obsess with age. One bowl at a time.
