Cricket World Cup Upset USA!

I know it's a minor sport in the USA, however they are hosting the 2024 T20 cricket world cup, and caused an upset yesterday by beating Pakistan in a thrilling super over. I say upset, but Pakistan are not the side they once were in the past.

For those not familiar with it a super over is a rare occurrence in cricket, where after both sides have bowled their scores are tied. Its like a tie break or an extra innings in baseball.

Well done USA.

Just listened to Scotland thumping Oman to top their group, infront of England and Australia. I expect Scotland to get beaten by Australia, which will leave qualification between Scotland amd England determined by net run rate. USA are sitting well in their group after 2 matches.

Glad the USA is doing well! I know nothing about cricket other than that it's one of the most popular sports in the world, and there's a bat and ball involved. (I believe this is where someone mutters Philistine)

Staying up very late to listen to a tense match between Scotland and Australia. Well done USA for making it to the Super 8's.
