Hi everyone, Newby here, so please forgive me if I put my foot into things by accident
I recently bought an estate pipe on ebay, and I am looking for any info that can help me build a history of the pipe.
Nomenclature is:
Craig Buchanan

Bentley

Made in London
My research has given two possible origins for Bentley, (if that is indeed the makers name)
1. Former's shop in Switzerland but the graphics does not match and it does not have a handmade or Danish look.

2. Kaywoodie seconds line. this seems more likely, because the shape matches the 01 Yacht shape from the Kaywoodie line. However, there is no stinger as I would expect from a Kaywoodie product. The stem is a cheap acrylic that fits very badly so likely not the original, which may explain that.
Craig Buchanan is another possible angle. It seems that it was the name of a tobacco franchise in the US in the late 20th century. I cannot find any more info about them.
My suspicion is that this was a store pipe for Buchanan's from the Kaywoodie seconds line.
Any thoughts?
