Cracked A Tin Of Cringle 2019

Opened a tin of 2019 today. What a great smoke. The three years have left the blend richer but more mellow than the in your face vinegar Red Virginia when it was new. Now, i really liked the earlier vinegar blast but this was also delicious, a bit deeper and very enjoyable. While I have enjoyed all the Cringle Flakes the 2019 is, in my view, the best. I hope that for 2023 Sutliff has run out of perique and returns to a great quality Red Virginia for Christmas.

I hope Sutliff is listening because the concensus seems to be that we want a return of Cringle Flake without perique.

I have been smoking Cringle Flake for the past ten days. It is pleasant enough but really needs some time in the cellar because it isn't special. I love perique and won't smoke a Virginia without it.
