I am looking at picking up this tomahawk shaped Meerschaum. The retailer can't tell me anything about who the manufacturer is other than it is a genuine, block Meerschaum hand made in Turkey.
Shikano53, I can't help you with the artisan who carved it, but those are beautiful stems. It is amazing that they both have such rich aggressive flame in them. I would be willing to bet the carver is a well known artisan.
I purchased a quarter bent bull dog meer with no decoration with a similar stem. The manager at my B&M told me he picked it out at the pipe show last year based on the stem color. I noticed they replaced it with a similar shaped pipe but the stem was no where close in regards to the flame pattern.
Without a signature on the pipe, or logo on the case, it is near impossible to identify the carver, as many carvers ("master" and otherwise) do make similar shape meers. Though, the case and the two stems - I think are somewhat distinctive.
