Here's a new Comoys finish for me. This shape 42 (large bent billiard) is a "Supreme Grain", which I hadn't seen before. I found a couple sold on SmokingPipes, which they advertised as a bargain Blue Riband. This one has wonderful grain on one side for sure.

An oddity here, is that when I started to restore the pipe, it appeared to have 3 piece, drilled C stem logo. However after finishing, I was somewhat horrified to find it is not a multi-piece. It is the deepest C stamp I've ever seen and is almost like an insert. I went at it with 800 grit then onto the buffing machine as it it were a drilled logo. Any other C stamp I've seen would have been eliminated, but this one was undisturbed.
