I just finished this one, the first "Royal Guard" to cross my bench. A neat little Rhodesian that has a better quality stem than I usually find on Comoys seconds. The stem adornment is wood, perhaps a sliver of briar?

Nice job on the restore! I was going to ask if you were keeping it, or selling it, but based on the shape, I'm assuming you're keeping it? Lol

I saw that one and wondered what the inlay was on the stem…briar inlay is interesting. It came out beautiful…Nice work as always!

I was watching that carved Comoys for my son-in-law,the shape looked like the Fleur-De-leis (they live in New Orleans). But the price went past my limit.
Also curious about that one, it was listed as a Comoys 156 - but in the Comoy's shape chart, the 156 is a Lovat. The seller didn't have a picture of the nomenclature

Impressive revival. I like the heft and flow of that pipe. The briar (?) on the stem is peculiar but distinctive.
