Does anyone have any reviews or issues with older model (80s) Colibri lighters? I'm looking to pick up a solid lighter while I save up for an Old Boy.

Well there are many many colibri designs produced every year, many of which have issue I have found. However even if it's unused vintage there's a possibility that the seals are shot and would require an overall. You can watch a YouTube video or someone doing this procedure and see if that sounds like fun. I like to fix things but not the kind of things that have parts that fit under my fingernails...
I say this having gone through maybe a dozen vintage colibri pipe lighters, the flint butane kind.
If you need something for outside zippo is the way to go or something similar flint and wick type thing. A pain to keep filling but it just works..
