Recently I started cleaning some estate pipes. I soaked the stems in bleach for a short time to sterolize them. To remove the bleach, I left them overnight in a pot in the sink that my wife was soaking. Now they taste like dishsoap. I have rinsed for a long time. I have soaked them overnight in pure water. Any ideas how to remove the soap taste?

Everclear will clean just about anything out, and if you have a retort all the better, we normally use them on whole pipes, but ive used mine just for stems, even unclogged stems with it. Watch it though it sprays everywhere so you need to have something to catch it in, a retort maybe overkill, but if plain everclear doesnt work boiling everclear will.

Whiskey helped, but the lemon juice basically solved the problem. I think that heavy smoking and time will complete the job. Thanks guys.
