almost looks like Bruce Weaver's signature style: a sandblast that resembles melting wax. Pretty awesome pipe, and a heavy price tag, too :)

That is sexy. I love his pipes, at one point I had close to fifteen in my collection. Definitely cannot go wrong, never had a problem with any of his pipes.

I love Cavicchi pipes. I don't have one yet, but they just speak to me. It is the closest I have to a "white whale" for pipes.

Claudio did a great job bring out the grain.

I really like the way he brought out the ring grain and the birds eyes.

But, I'm surprised he didn't go smooth with it.

It may be that the straight grain was too wide for grading like a smooth.
Still....

Beautiful pipe.

That sure does look like a Weaver blast. Volcano's aren't my favorite shape, but it sure does accent that grain.
