Since this subject came up in response to a recent post.I can't remember ever smoking a blend with cigar leaf in it.I'm thinking that maybe I should try one.The problem is I don't know which blends actually contain cigar leaf.Could someone list a couple? Thanks

I've had the opportunity to sample GLP's Key Largo and Robusto, and C&D Purple Cow...all great blends, but be forwarned, cigar leaf in a pipe does not offer the same flavours that a cigar will.

I would recommend C&D Billy Budd for a latakia style cigar blend or H&H Stogie. Both go great with Port, Cognac or Harveys.

Puffy, I have had a "home made" blend that is simply over the top.

Try:

1/2 lb. Ligett & Myers Velvet (air cured Burley) Oops RED CAP.

1 Maduro cigar sliced up into coins and broken.
Mmmmmmmmm.

I'm glad I found this... I just got a tin of Key Largo that is wonderful, except the cigar leaf... which I now know I don't care for, but I was wondering what exactly cigar leaf is? I mean, is it Virginia's or something, or is it it's own strain of leaf?
