I found after smoking Frog Morton On The Bayou that i love perique and latakia. So I'd appreciate it if you guys could share your favorite blends that are heavier on the perique and latakia. I also have found myself looking for blends with cigar leaf. I've got GL Pease Key Largo & GL Pease Robusto on my list for my next TAD order. I also currently have a tin of Cornell & Diehl Purple Cow in the cellar. SO suggestions of favorite cigar leaf blends would be appreciated as well.

I've been wanting to try it. I hear good thing here on the forums. I'll see if i can get it with my next TAD order.

buying tins of blending latakia and perique

That does seem like a good idea. I just wouldn't know which blend i should add it too

I'm more partial to a soft hint of latakia so far. It may just be a matter of it being blended the right way for me. But Pirate Kake is worth a shot.

after trying FMOTB and 2 year aged Countryside(which smells similar to FMOTB so I assume it has lat in it.I don't know since it was a gift and i didn't buy it) I've found that i prefer my tobacco strong, and that softer more mellow tobaccos aren't as appealing

No problem on the "Edit:"
One other "blend" that I enjoy very much is a pound (give or take) of Velvet and a cheap Maduro cigar coined and broken mixed in... Burley and cigar, not too shabby. I don't usually go for mainly Burley blends, but this low-brow mix is "very not bad".

For me, more perique is not necessarily better. Too much seems to overpower the flavor. I really enjoy Ashton's Artisan's Blend as it's a much more "even" smoke.

When you say that, do you mean actually buying a cheap cigar? Or do you mean just buying cigar leaf?

I havent had much perique, so I wanna see what i perique heavy blend would taste like.
Oh, can anyone tell me anything about Countryside? I don't know anything about it, it was given to me by a member of these forums, I really like it, but know nothing about it

I use a real cigar. Usually one that is labeled Maduro. (Of what that actually means; I haven't a clue.)

I just slice it up into thin coins then break them up and mix carefully. (So as not to break up the baccy any more than necessary.) Then... and this is most important... stuff and puff. :D
