Ok guys, one more question. I have two Peterson pipes, Churchwarden and Tankard, stem of this pipe have same diameter of inside nozzle and can replace each other. Using of a long Churchwarden stem is uncomfortable sometimes by different reasons. My question is... is it correct and healthy solution to replace it with a short one from Tankard, or it will be drives for some negative things?
Maybe someone one of you had experience with strange issues like that?

Tenons come in many diameters, so they're often incompatible with other mortises. But, if these are truly interchangeable, then have fun switching them out all you like.

I'm sure that you know this, but it is inadvisable to remove a stem before a pipe is cool and dry after a smoke.

Thanks a lot for unswerving my stupid questions ?
I'm also surprised that they fits each other.
And yes, I know that pipe going to get cool before disassembling, but you are really best reminding it anywhere.

If the churchwarden bowl is one you really like, you think of getting it re-stemmed.
The Danish Pipe Shop does a great job, and they are not expensive
Here is a Stanwell they re-stemmed for me a couple of years ago.
They do replacement Peterson stems
