Anyone have any recommendations for a heavily cased or flavored chocolate baccy? I've tried Two Friends British Chocolate but was disappointed in it.

I've only tried two blends that are marketed as Chocolate, one of those is a local B&M blend called Chocolate Truffle which tasted like soap! The other is Mac Baren Honey & Chocolate, which is pretty good, but I wouldn't say that it is very chocolatey, but it's a quality aromatic none the less.
Good to see you buddy, I was beginning to wonder about you!

I'm apologizing even as I type this, because I feel certain it's not what you're looking for. But it's the only cocoa/chocoloate blend with which I've had personal experience. It's a marvelous blend if you're open to something that is more "dusting of cocoa" than "mouthful of fudge."
It's NOT heavily cased -- and by most American definitions isn't even an aromatic -- but Gawith Hoggarth's Bob's Chocolate Flake is my go-to when I want just a hint of cocoa. It's actually a Virginia/burley flake (where the balance is very much weighted toward the African Virginias) with a tiny, tiny touch of latakia and a dusting of cocoa/chocolate. I think it's delicious. But for me -- someone who is primarily a non-aromatic smoker -- it's a truly rewarding change-of-pace smoke.

Tobacco and chocolate are two separate delights, to my mind, and I'm not attracted to doubling up with them.

I guess the same could be said of vanilla, walnut, rum, bourbon, and Irish whisky, which I do accept in aromatics.

Somehow chocolate seems best savored in its own right -- especially dark chocolate, not over-sweetened,

about 70% bean. But I honor the idea; if I could enjoy the duet, I would.

Try McClelland's "Tastemaster." It's not cloyingly sweet, but has a nice rich, mellow taste - it's easy to forget it's an aromatic, but it delivers in both flavor and room note.

MacBaren's Honey and Chocolate - it's ok but not necessarily a great chocolate flavor/smoke.

Sutliff (Altadis) Hot Chocolate isn't bad

Sutliff (Altadis) Chocolate Truffle I would say would be more of my favorite of the chocolate aromatics I've smoked

Strauss Tobacconist also makes a mint chocolate but mostly all you get is mint - which is pretty damn good.

McClelland's Chocolate Mint is neither chocolatly nor minty - but maybe I should light up a bowl and try again - that's just my notes from a while back.
PM me your address as well I have all of these if you'd like to try a sample.

So far I tried Mac Baren Honey & Chocolate. It was good in a flavor but not in a taste.

So what I did blending.

1. Honey & Chocolate + Lane 1Q (50/50) = Nutty Chocolate.

2. Honey & Chocolate + Peter Stokkebye Dansk Black (50/50) = Chocolate Cream Cake.

3. Honey & Chocolate + Sir Walter Raleigh Regular (70/30) = Milky Chocolate.

They are all good in a flavor and in a taste.

On the advice of a Buddhist Monk (4dotsasieni) I fell in like with McClelland's Tastemaster. It smells as good as it smokes! Really premium pipe tobacco.

Gentlemen, thank you so much for your recommendations, and especially to you kind fellows who've offered to send me samples. I'm sure with all these recommendations I'll find the right one. Boswell's seems like a good first try; I'll let you know when I make my first tobacco order for the new year.

Boswells only does phone ordering, they say it's to protect your identity, I think it's cause Mr. Boswell can't use a computer :) Either way his blends are very good and his pipes are spectacular.
