If anyone is looking for a cheap buffer this may fit the bill. For the price I ordered one just to see how it works. $20 shipped.

I just ordered it. Won't get here until mid to late April. I've seen some posts where members are asking about buffers. Saw this dropped in price so figured I'd let everyone know. I don't polish my pipes except when I first clean up an estate, and then just a buffing wheel on a drill. This was cheap enough that I thought I'd give it a try.Have you used it, yet? Curious to know what you think about it!

This one was originally $80 or so I believe. I just happened upon it when it had just dropped in price. I'll post if it works out.I like it. I was looking for one a while back and everything I’d seen was 3-4 times what this cost at a minimum. I hope it works out for you - please report back.
Yeah, it was worth a try. Its got to be better than the drill with buffing wheel that I use to clean up estate pipes.I might do the same since it’s only $20.
One thing I've learned on way to becoming an old fart.... That it's often the same thing that makes something great, that turns out to be the thing that makes it stink too. Alaska away from it all and that's why you're going to pay out the nose for anything imported from pretty much anywhere else. Moose are awesome and I think they really hate primates I know they hate people.Gotta love Alaska. I click the link and it’s $66 shipped.
for 20 bucks that's fine even if you just use it to look like a handy chap.

From my comprehensive understanding of Chinese description and instruction grammar and syntax, I’m pretty sure it means to check them at that interval and replace when there’s 1/3 of original brush remaining.Be careful with these and read the fine print . It says 1/3 of these will fail within 3 months due to bush failure
I have stems that I've worked on for a long time as well. I can never seem to get all of the oxidation off. Looks great and when I take it into a dark room and shine an led flashlight on it I can still see some oxidation. I think 800 rpm would be fine as long as you keep the stem moving and don't allow it to heat up at all. From my comprehensive understanding of Chinese description and instruction grammar and syntax, I’m pretty sure it means to check them at that interval and replace when there’s 1/3 of original brush remaining.
Replaceable brushes are a good thing in my opinion.
For $20 I may have to try one, I spent an hour micromeshing my last estate’s stem and there’s still oxidation visible in the sunshine.
Is 800rpm (min speed) too fast for vulcanite?
Curiously, they also included two carbon brushes, I couldn't imagine why, the above might explain it.Be careful with these and read the fine print . It says 1/3 of these will fail within 3 months due to bush failure
