Hello! I'm new to the pipe smoking experience and recently acquired a pipe. I can't determine if its any good and was hoping that one of you guys could help me out. Its a wooden pipe that says on the side Chateau Bruyere and on the mouth piece there is a white star engraved in it.Has anyone heard of these?

According to the book "Who Made That Pipe?" it is made in France, manufacturer unknown.
If it's a white outline star symbol, the maker could be Aux mines d'écume or A. Lacroix, according to the web site Logos & Estampilles - see here: http://pipephil.eu/logos/en/motifs/mo-etoile.html.
And, welcome to the forum!

Thank you for both the reply and the welcome! Yes the stem does have a white star engraved into it. Here are some photos if to help further identify this pipe if possible.

Well, with the star outline offset to the right, as shown in your photo, the mystery manufacturer could be La Normandy, which means it's a brand name of Chacom (Chapuis Comoy), a premier French pipemaker. See this web page: http://pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-l1.html#lanormandy.
One thing is fairly certain, though, that the pipe was made in France.
Enjoy smoking it!

Welcome to the forum and the community Steves.
That's a nice looking piece of briar. Hope it smokes well for you.
I look forward to hearing what you decide to put in it.

Its no problem I appreciate the welcome. Also with pipes how normal is it to not show the exact maker on them ie: My pipe how it only says Chateau Bruyere is this a model? Because I dont see any other markings that would tell me its a Chacom or any other maker.
