Our former sponsor tobaccopipes.com used to carry twenty or so Chapuis-Comoy pipes, a sub-brand of Comoy in France, well produced smooth finish briars at low-low prices, less than $40, as I recall. I think they are down to one Dublin now, though I haven't checked lately. These were marketed as starter pipes, or travel pipes. I bought one straight Dublin with a slightly canted bowl, that could have been a zulu with the slightest bend in the stem. This was a really good line of economy pipes, and I have mentioned them on Forums several times, especially when newbies are asking about lower priced pipes. I've never seen anyone mention they owned one. Any Chapuis-Comoy owners out there? I think mine is a good pipe, nicely finished and a dependable smoker.
