Chaning a Pipe to Natural Finish

I recently took a basket pipe and removed the varnished finish. Once I got the finished removed I decided to leave it natural. My question is should I do anything to it now? I though that I might wax it to protect the briar.

You could use wax to protect it from the oils on your hands or just leave it and smoke it. I have a Nording Signature that is unfinished and it is developing some very interesting and cool color.

Would I use carnauba wax?
