It seems to me that there are certain types of tobaccos that smoke well with certain pipes, and don't smoke well with others pipes? and certain pipes that smoke well with certain types of tobaccos better than they smoke other types of tobaccos?
Is this same observation true for you? or do you just find if a pipe doesn't smoke well with one type of tobacco it won't smoke well with any, and if a pipe smokes well with one type of tobacco it will smoke well with all?
I ask this because i have one very nice pipe that i just haven't found it to smoke well with any tobacco, YET. i don't want to get rid of the pipe (it's a very nice pipe and fairly expensive) if it will smoke well with some other type of tobacco that i just haven't YET found...
Thanks for your thoughts on this!

I've found certain tobaccos seem to smoke well in almost any pipe. EMP, a light English, is pretty foolproof in any pipe and MacBaren Cube Silver, a powerful aromatic tastes the same in any pipe as well. Another consistent tasting tobacco I could suggest would be Irish Flake, a Burley forward blend by Peterson.

I certainly do enjoy certain tobaccos more in certain pipes. Some blends do equally well in any pipe for me, but some just sing better in some pipes better than others. I wish I could pin it down to shapes or bowl sizes easily, but there seems to be a lot more to it than that. I'll buy a pipe thinking, "I bet this will be a great pipe for XYZ blend!", only to find I am sadly mistaken.

Mcitinner1,
Yea I usually type in all lower case. I have to remember to go back and change some letters to capitals for this forum. I guess it's just one of those rules I'll try to remember...

So my question is really more about types of cuts of tobacco with types/shapes/sizes of pipes.
Cuts of tobacco meaning Cubed, Krumble Kake, Ribbon, Shag, etc. With types or sizes of pipes, Billard, Bulldog, Apple, small bowl, deep bowl, etc.
Not necessarily blends, but that may have an influence as well, IDK
