I recently got an estate pipe from eBay. My wife surprised me with it. It’s a nice looking pipe and a good little smoker.

The only problem is I don’t know anything about it. I tried to look it up but didn’t really find anything so I was hoping some of the more knowledgeable folks might have some info.

I did the best I could with the pictures, but just so it’s clear it says Classic in italics and French briar underneath. At the stem end of the shank it says Made In France.

Any idea?

Who Made That Pipe lists Classic as a product of La Bruyere, which was established in 1908, took over the Chapis-Comoy brand and factory in Saint Claude in 1957, developed the brand Chacom, and rebranded itself as Chapus-Comoy & Cie.
There are other brands that produced pipes under the name "Classic" but this is the only French made entry.

Thanks. That’s something I’d not seen before. I’ll have to try to find a copy of that.
