No, I don’t think so.

I picked up this pipe at an antique mall for $10. It is definitely stone and its weight is pretty consistent with Meerschaum. The green color doesn’t seem to be painted on and appears to be part of the stone. The chamber has a metal insert (tin maybe) and a metal shank for the acrylic stem to attach to. Whatever it is, I just thought it was funky and I’ve never seen anything like it.

I was bummed and excited to read in another thread that you discovered this was a Feather Rock pipe made by Venturi, makers of The Pipe—bummed that your pipe isn’t green Meerschaum, but excited that there’s a different Venturi pipe for me to hunt down.

Yeah, I posted in the wrong thread. I was giving blood while posting, so I’m gonna plead temporary insanity!🤣

Here is the post from that thread.

It turns out that it is not Meerschaum. It’s a “The Pipe” Feather Rock by Venturi. Made in the early ‘70s. Someone on Reddit identified it. I can’t believe it’s resin as it feels just like stone. The bowl liner is made from pyrolytic graphite. Really interesting story behind it.
