I recently picked up this pipe on e bay and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the maker, or even its’ country-of-origin? All I know from the seller is that it’s supposedly from 1909. The silver is stamped EAM inside of a diamond and then there is 3 smaller marks in squares/rectangles: an anchor, a lion, and the letter k.image.jpgIMG_1012.jpeg

Fourth mark down, not much info:

Yeah EAM seems to have stumped the internet. I was hoping to tie him or her to a particular pipe manufacturer/brand.

Thanks to the replies above I did get a nice education on maker’s marks. I’m not into jewelry but I found all those little codes to be cool.

Interestingly I found Elgin American Mfg. to be a stamp but from America from around the same time period on cigarette cases, but that guy wasn’t British. At least I know now that my pipe is British. The country of origin and date codes are handy.
