Good evening fellow pipers,

I have helped out an older neighbor widow(85 years old) since her husband died in 2019. He was a pipe smoker and among the many tasks I help Barbara with she loves when I smoke my pipe in her house. It reminds her of her husband.
Anyhow after John died his wife(understandably) gave his good pipes to their son. Recently she found a box of some 20 pipes that her son was not interested in so she passed them on to me. They were ROUGH but I have been working on restoring them. I suspect most of the pipes were drug store or basket pipes but what the heck...they basically all smoke the same so I will use them.
In the box were these two Calabash pipes. There is no identification on either of them and they took some work to fix up but I wanted to share them and see if any of you have any thoughts about them. Im sure they are cheap pipes but I like the way they look. Thoughts?

Those 2 look like Pioneer gourd calabashes
The bowls look like they have not been smoked much.

If you google gourd calabash pipes EBay, you can get an estimate of their worth

Gourd calabashes are unwieldy, but they give a very cool smoke
Enjoy puffy
