Calabash Cups

Does anyone have a source for reasonably priced Meerschaum/Briar cups for calabash pipes? Scouring through older threads, I found J.H Lowe, but they are out of size 38.5, and Pimo seems not to carry inserts anymore.

Also, I always thought that these "Austrian" calabashes were high quality; however, my "Austria" calabash inserts are not "sticky" to the hands, which I thought of as an indicator of pressed/block. I wonder if they use a coating on them or if the cups are just pressed. If anyone has any other good ways to differentiate between pressed/block, your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Tried the silver scratch test, and it indicated block meerschaum. I guess that answers one of my questions; however, does anyone have any leads on meerschaum bowls or know anyone who could turn a briar bowl?

I search for "gourd calabash" and a few pop up.

Found a few places that will turn a briar bowl for me, which will be great as I have seen @georged suggest the gourd/briar combo.

However, if anyone has any leads on reasonably priced meerschaum inserts, I am still looking, and will be for a while. Ebay isn't showing any options for me, maybe that is based on the country that I am in (US), or based on their search engine peculiarities...But if anyone has any leads at all, even from other countries please let me know and I will reach out to them.
