On the left, a batch from month 341 and on the right, 345.

I only mention this to say that the 341 was an outlier, darker, moister, many more intact coins, perhaps even a hint of Lakeland sauce, a little slower burning. It has been very tasty.

The batch from 345 is back to the old routine (the 339 batches very similar), more broken stuff, more bright. I can't argue with the taste, though, I love it as much as the outlier. No hint of sauce.

Tiny differences, really, but just enough to notice. It all tastes great and I'm smoking some of the latest right now.

Edit: mods pls fix my capitalisation on title.

I have a couple of tins of Cabbie's left from 2016. Haven't smoked it in years, though I loved the blend. But in 2019 the Cabbies I bought was loaded with DFK, so much of it that it was all I could taste. 2019 seems to be a year win which a lot of use of DFK seeping into a lot of blends, really cheap leaf.

I've tried to score another tin to see if it's been put back to right, but it's in the hard to find category and I'm unwilling to put any of my dwindling time and effort into searching. Lovely blend back in the day.

I've never understood the "don't take the toy out of the box" mentality. I buy tobacco to smoke it.
Yes, but most of those who say it have 100lb of other stuff to choose from and can afford to put it in a "special events" category.

I like Cabbies when I tried it at a pipe club meeting in 2017 or 2018. I don't think I have any though. So many blends, and all that.
