I always love to read E. Robert's tobacco reviews. They are an enjoyable read, and I envy his supertaster palate. However, what I really like best about this review is that it reminds us of an important lesson, both for tasting wines, and tobaccos. (I also love that this is another example of the myriad similarities between fine tobaccos and fine wines.)
It's actually a 2-3 part lesson. 1) Let it breathe. 2) Don't judge it on just one tin (or bottle). 3. Try it new versus aged. You will see what I mean when you read the first sentence of the review.

Also please note that I've added a heading, "In the vein of...", offering suggestions for comparable blends. Thanks for the suggestion, Spartan, let's see how it's received.

Really didn't care for this blend at first myself. I threw it in some jars and now it's close to the 1 year mark. Interested to see if my opinion changes.

I also really enjoyed and blasted through Lunchtime Blues
From the tin;

The second addition to Cornell & Diehl's new "Working Man Series" of blends, Lunchtime Blues combines a Burley base with Virginas and a modest pinch of Oriental leaf to produce a perfect mid-day pick-me-up. Well, assuming you can smoke at work, anyway.
