While sitting at the B&M today I got the opportunity to try C&D's Cocnout blend. I'm not a fan of overly sweet aromatics but this one was a pleasant surprise. The initial light did produce a sweet taste but not cloying at all. The taste was consistent throughout the entire bowl and never got out of hand.

Again, this is just from one bowl but I think you 1Q fans would really like this one as it reminded me of that blend. Softly flavorfull, held the light well, nice room note and not the least bit offensive with no bite at all.

Coconut just might be the flavor for 2011. This blend is a nice visit to the tropics for the winter.

Strongirish, while this one sounds appealing, if you ever find Oceanliner New York Black and Gentle which is also a coconut blend, run away. Or better yet, you could accomplish the same results by taking some shaved coconut and some old tire shavings and mixing it with sulfur in equal parts. Then pour some Zippo lighter fluid on it until its a slurry. Tilt your head back and pour the slurry in your mouth and light it and wait until your mouth is nothing but a charred gapping hole and you pray for death. Its pretty much the same result as smoking New York Black and Gentle but you won't have to throw your pipe out afterwards.

I am not a fan of anything coconut flavored... but give me something with coconut shavings or fresh slimy coconut and I would eat my weight in it (almost 300 pounds or 136 Kg). So I wont be trying any blend that openly claims to be coconut anytime soon, it is just not for me! I am glad you enjoyed it though papipeguy!

coconut is about my favorite flavor in general - i put it in my coffee every day

i am new to pipe smoking, less than 2 years, and have only tried a couple of flavors

i am almost afraid to get a coconut flavor tobacco because i might like it more than anything else and it will be too expensive
