im getting another pipe off ebay, its an estate pipe, i dont know how used it is but i like the look of it and its on $14 plus shipping.its marked medico. now i havent bought it yet, are medico pipes briar?

It's pretty tough to ruin a pipe, in my limited restoration experience, it's pretty easy, if you don't mind using some elbow grease and patience. The right tools also help things along.

That should make a good one for you. I've had a bunch of Medico and have a couple in rotation. They are a filter pipe but you don't have to use a filter.That appears to be a pretty old one. Stems appears to be vulcanite. A lot of Medicos made from the 1950's up had nylon stems which are quite soft and easily chewed. Medico does make a non briar pipe-the Brylons.

the ebay seller say its briar, but you cant trust them for sure.heres what they said-"Up for your consideration is a nice Medico Gold Crest Imported Briar tobacco estate pipe with 14k RGP band."
