Continuing today's pipe smoking journey is this pre-Cadogan era Orlik Prince Regent keeping it smokey with some F&T Virginia Mixture.

I love seeing the pipes you are smoking but is there any chance of a different back drop image as I feel like I know that tree in the back ground intimately! 8O

I think the backdrop serves as an equalizer to show off the pipes in an evenhanded way, pleasant but not distracting. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the property, but for the pipe's sake, I'm okay with this. Also, it keeps the lighting somewhat uniform, again so the pipes show up in similar light. This is a vast perhaps infinite collection, so I feel I have to maintain concentration!

You could set up an indoor photo studio with a green screen. Then you could sub in backgrounds from any and everyplace in the world. Just funning'....
Overcast days- and you must get some- will allow nice pix from a variety of locations.
