$4.50 per pouch on sale when you buy all six flavors of the Brigadier Black series from Pipes and Cigars.

Normally $6 per pouch and $24 for eight ounces.

Blended by Russ Ouellette.

Blender’s description

Brigadier Black Bull Run pipe tobacco is blend of black Cavendish and golden Burleys. It's silky smooth with just a hint of Vanilla for your enjoyment as well as those around you. Born of some of the most sought after vanilla pipe tobacco in the world, this is a must try if you’re a vanilla fan. For a smooth and mellow experience, Brigadier Black Bull Run is a must-try.

This is a delicious, full bodied, zesty and fruity high quality vanilla pipe tobacco. There’s quite a bit of sweet black cavendish and nutty flavored golden burley. I get nuts, fruits, and rich vanilla flavors when I smoke this, and it’s as good as any other bulk vanilla blend out today, just a bit different.

Not overly sweet, this packs easily and burns slow with no bite, harshness or bitterness.

Try a pouch when you order from Pipes and Cigars.

We are spoiled by all the excellent pipe blends out today. You might like this vanilla blend the best.

Interesting!

At $3 an ounce selling pipe tobacco is very profitable, and if you can’t afford $3 an ounce tobacco you can still buy 75 cents an ounce tobacco.

It cannot cost four times more to blend Bull Run than Gambler. The best grades of burley and Virginia tobaccos are only fractionally more to buy, and the flavorings used are likely all the same cost, regardless of blend.

Someday the do gooders will rain all over this golden age of choice of pipe tobaccos.

Until then, enjoy all the choices.

Only problem is, PC sells it. I'm not buying anything from PC.

The base blend is likely Sutliff D61 Vanilla Royale you can buy lots of places online.

All Russ Ouellette has done with his Bull Run blend is order a little different high quality vanilla pipe tobacco from Sutliff.

Choice is good.

If you don’t have any objections to Pipes and Cigars you get another choice of vanilla tobacco.

It sounds pretty good. Its simplicity doesn't bother me. Getting the proportions and sourcing right counts for a lot. For me, the art of aromatics is to get the flavoring to support and bring out the quality of the base tobacco, what some call tobacco-forward aromatic blends. This sounds like that. I've always thought Russ was underrated, but I like the blends of his I've tried mostly.

I wouldn’t call it a problem, but in the decade or so since I discovered Pipes and Cigars, I’d say on most orders of multiple flavors of tobacco blends I’ve made some come in extremely quick, and others lag behind a few days, even a week or two.

What I can’t understand is how, when they get my order for about $100 and I’ve made 13 different choices of product, they can make any money filling the order and keep the hired help paid and the lights on.

That last order, all but 8 ounces of Holiday arrived in about two or three days, and Holiday the next day.

I’m sure most of the operation is computerized but somebody has to grab 13 different products and pack them, and I’d not want to try that for a hundred dollars.:)

I read on my candy bars, that my satisfaction is guaranteed. All I have to do is mail them the remains of the candy bar and I get my money back. You see the same thing on cheap cigars.

It wouldn’t be there unless occasionally they get an unhappy Milky Way customer.

Pipes and Cigars can’t make everybody happy, but they have made me happy as a kid in a candy store, so far.
