Bulk Tobacco Prices

The best prices I know of for buying bulk tobacco on the internet are at Smokingpipes.com. Are there any stores on the internet that offer even lower prices?

I think it depends on which bulks, but it seems like Pipes and Cigars had lower prices on their PS LBF then Smoking Pipes did when I ordered last.

Yup, and while it's not bulk... typically buying 5+ tins at a time from P&C is a great deal.

jazzlover, Just for going to a site, shopping tobacco, and buying some bulk, I think smokingpipes is

about the best. But I think it's true that price comparing for a particular bulk item, you might do

better on particular blends at other sites. SPC seems to have one of the more expansive selections

of bulk, and some of the more moderate priced bulk, like Altadis and Lane. I have an order from

SPC probably arriving today USPS. Happy shopping and smoking.

Bulk purchasers should factor-in the cost of storage jars (at least the first time around), and the PITA factor too (packing, labelling, etc.)
Some rough calculations on cost using Rattray's blends from SmokingPipes.com
Tins cost: 15.85/100gr.

Bulk cost: 13.69/100gr. + .76/Mason jar (½-pint, priced at Amazon) = $14.45/100gr.
(The savings are even greater for Mac Baren's HH blends $12.56/100gr tin vs. $9.50/100gr bulk in Mason jar.)
...and like Gray says, buying tins in quantity brings the two storage strategies into greater parity.

Another word of advice: sign up for a couple of newsletters some of the sites will have 5-20% off sales which will make them the best deal for a limited time. So always keep an eye out!
