I know a few of us play around with some blend mixing. The other day I had an idea to try mixing 50%-50% Stokkebye Balkan Supreme and McClelland 5110. I have smoked it several times and really like it. They go together like a hand and glove. It becomes a really nice all day type smoke. Not a latakia hammer or anything just a mild/medium English. I am posting to suggest to those of you that have those two in you cellar to give a bowl or two a try and see what you think......I am interested in opinions. :)

i might try something like this with the PS English Oriental I have. Seems like it might help the 5110 burn more easily. thats my only gripe with 5110, i dont like to fuss with keeping my pipe lit too much, 2 or 3 relights is enough for me.

I just mentioned something similar in the Sir Walter Raleigh review.

One of my favorite go-to smokes is SWR 50/50 with Mclelland 5100 Red Cake.

Sometimes its easy to take something good, and make it even better !

Thats one thing I liked....the dryer Balkan Supreme really helps the 5110 to burn nicer.

I only relit when I got near the end of the bowl. The dottle was a very fine gray/white ash.
