My brother-in-law upgraded the SxS 20 ga he gave me for Christmas. He laser sighted the barrels (one was shooting left), replaced ALL the internals, replaced the stock, wasn't happy, replaced the stock again with a sweet walnut stock, and engraved a gold grouse and a gold quail on the sides. I pick it up Saturday. He also got me a case and put a Union Jack on it with my initials. I tested it last time I was up there, before the stock and engraving, and hit a tin can he threw in the air with the wad (probably only 12-15 yards, but dead on).
I'm taking my .357/.38 insert and will shoot a few .38s and a .357 or two and will report when I get back. Will also shoot a few .28 ga with my pair of .28 inserts. Check out that walnut stock!

It's an entry level Boito. Made in a factory in south Brazil in the middle of nowhere! They were sold by KMart for a while and don't have the best reputation, but try and find me any firearm that some people don't hate. Mine was made in the seventies. It ain't no Holland & Holland, but it's pretty and essentially brand new. If I can hit with it I don't care.

Just found out he milled a revolver style combat rear sight into it, for slugs. It has fairly open chokes, IC and IM if I remember right. So it's not only pretty, it'll shoot 20ga, 28ga, .38s and .357s, and 20ga slugs. I love shotguns. Can't imagine I'll get much accuracy with the revolver cartridges using my little 3" insert and hybrid sights, but it's still cool. Not a fan of the Taurus Joke (and copycats), but my Boito is a regular 2¾" 20ga that just happens to shoot other gauges and calibers. Definitely a better Christmas present than shirts :)

Looks good to me.
I lie shotguns, especially SxS. I have. Nice beretta white onyx that was a gift, and shoot an old mossberg 500 for duck season. People make fun of it, but I own a Benelli SBE2 as well, an outshoot most anyone I've hunted with, with the old goose killer.

You really can't go wrong with a single or double barrel shotgun. Simple, efficient, and extremely capable in terms of both stopping power and versatility. I really like your SxS! The barrel inserts are awesome and I will soon be adding some to my pack. My dad gave me a 12ga Pardner with a case hardened receiver when I was 12. I just got it back from NY and it needs some resto but it shoots great still.

@ tj: My other shottie is a 20ga Pardner for which I paid $98 brand new. I don't have the fancy cool case hardened receiver though. I've outshot everyone at clays so far with it. Love that shotgun. Agreed, break open shotguns are extremely versatile. The 28ga inserts are awesome; basically a second shotgun for $35. I can see 12" or so rifle/pistol caliber inserts being useful, not sure how my little 3" ones will shoot, with a weird combination of revolver rear sights and a gold bead front, but we'll see!
PS Along with replacing all the internals, engraving the gold grouse and quail and laser sighting the barrels, he lowered the comb on the stock because I was shooting high, and added a buttpad and shaved the top and bottom so it doesn't catch on my shirt. I went to Bass Pro shops' fine gun room and didn't see a nicer stock, and quite a few worse.
We shall be smoking some pipes and shooting in his back yard this weekend. I only have some MacBaren 7 Seas Regular (smoked the tasty Erinmore flake), but it will do; I have two nice Cristiano pipes (rusticated straight pot and a smooth ¼ bent saucer), and an Albany Canadian from England.
