We lose so much knowledge that cannot be replaced when one of these gentlemen passes. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Sorry to hear that, Dave. Although I met Chuck briefly once or twice, I didn't really know him; but I've have heard many of my friends speak very kindly of him.

I purchased my first Castello from him about 15 years ago at the Chicago show. A mutual friend took me to his to look at his Castellos. He was the nicest guy you could meet and sat there for an hour going over the history of every Castello I was interested in. I purchased this Old Sea Rock 75 KK that day. I will smoke a bowl in it today in his memory.

Losing prominent pipe men and women reminds us how valuable each life is. They leave a mark with those in their sphere, the best kind of ghosting. Condolences to friends and family.
