Ok so that didn't last long. I could feel a small wiggle with my new meer and stem (it's not a problem with the meer or threaded insert) so after my first bowl I went to pull the stem out to have a look and clean it and this happened.....

I've tried to pull out the broken part from the stem but I guess it's glued in there.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to repair it?
I'm really annoyed now :(

It's all sorted, I got the broken bit out of the stem and the owner is going to send through a few new ones for me.
*phew* crisis averted.

Was it threaded into the stem? Any idea what the material is? It looks like PVC or something.

Yeah it was threaded into the stem. A quick dip in boiling water for a few seconds loosened it up. I think it's nylon. I've got a few spares coming to me so it shouldn't be out of action for long.
The meer is perfect though. There isn't any problems with it. Must have just been a dud fitting, it happens from time to time :)
