I was surfing on my cable TV which has 104 channels, looking for the RNC. None of the channels had it, but I found a baseball game between the Red Sox and the Giants. During the game one of the players broke his bat. I thought to myself don't throw that bat away. I would like to make a pipe out of it. And why not. The Ash wood in the bat That light colored wood would make a beautiful pipe. The wood had been perfectly aged before being made into a bat. The maker could include a card saying which game it was broken in, the date, the player, etc. I would like to have a pipe made from a World Series Game between the Padres and the Royals in 2020. Any body else want one?

A pipe made of ash might be pretty and a fine souvenir of a great game, but not much of a smoker. I suspect it'd quickly turn to another sort of ash.
