Has anyone tried these blends manufactured in Germany? The Aurora Borealis and Heritage Blend sounds good. Wishing the King Street was back in stock too.

Roth- I just noticed them couple days ago. I have to admit, I kinda liked the names so I ordered some. Looked around and could only find them there. But they did say "NEW" on the title.

I thought it was alittle crazy $$$$ and normally I try to get that free shipping also. This time I really didnt need anything and seen these. Didn't want to hesitate, and not be able to get them ever like i've done with Dan tobacco.

Smokingpipes just announced they would be carrying these blends as well. Any one tried the Klondike gold? The reference to berry aroma is frightening me away.

Hi Guys,
Yes, we did a soft launch of the new Brigham Legend Series of tobacco at the Chicago Pipe Show. The blends are classic styling and of the best quality leaf we could get our hands on. Hudson Bay is the only blend in the Legend Series that actually has a flavor added to it. The Berry flavor referred to in the description of Klondike is naturally occurring from the Virginia leaf.
I have smoked them all and found that after letting them dry down to the level I like, they smoke well. I particularly like the flake (but, that is just me).

Thanks for the clarification Brian. That "berry" reference turned me off of them also. I will definitely try these blends now that I know it is not a topping. :puffy:

It'll be interesting now that there's more choice for Brigham tobaccos. It seems for us up North, all you see is the standard Brigham tobaccos that we've become so used to. I will say that it's certainly a Canadian 'throwback' with the nomenclature of the tins... "Hudson Bay" is as Canadian as it gets. I will also say I'm not a fan of the look of the labels, but if they smoke as well as you say, I'm game to trying a few tins. I'll add a few tins to my next order.

@Durham -- Don't tell anyone please but, King St. and Ripley are on the way.
@shutterbug -- The Legend Series will be available in Canada as soon as Health Canada signs off on them.
@rothnh & rickpal14 I should have also said that the "Berry" was the impression they got from a tin at Smokingpipes.com. I guess they are thinking along the lines of the citrus aroma from Orlik Golden Sliced. We do not describe the blend to have a specific flavor.

The berry definitely turned me off as well, good to have it clarified. I actually like the old school looking labels, and by old school I mean an 80's feel or something. Still gonna try a couple of these.

Apparently someone put the bug in smokingpipes' ear. The changed all the stuff about berry aroma to make it clear it is naturally occurring. See guys - we do have some power here, lol.

I'm going to be completely honest, even though I now know they are not aro's (except the one maybe), the description of "raisin or berry' still grosses me out. The last thing I want to smoke is something that tastes like raisins. I probably wouldn't even notice it if I smoked it, at least I likely wouldn't have if I hadn't seen it in the description. I wish those flavours weren't in the descriptions at all. Oh well, I still want to try the latakia blends.
